Luke Harper backstage
He said that people who are loved get celebrated, while people like him get tossed aside. He said that he is a product of society, and a nightmare come to life.
“Sweet dreams.”
Harper is starting to fall into that Lana/Bray Wyatt territory, where a lot of the promos start to sound the same.
Jack Swagger vs. Luke Harper
The two big men battled it out early, with Harper taking over, and shutting down Swagger’s attempts to muster up some offense.
Swagger finally got his offense going, but couldn’t find a way to finish Harper off, as Harper reached the ropes while locked in the Patriot Lock, and countered a Swagger Bomb. That all led to Harper winning with a big clothesline.
Harper defeats Swagger via pinfall.
2.5 out of 5 stars – Honestly, not a bad match, but they could not get the crowd into it.
John Cena, Edge and Christian backstage
Cena and Edge were trading jabs, talking about all their violent times together, as Christian enjoyed, then took it one step too far, bringing up the time Edge beat up Cena’s dad, forcing him to make a comedic exit.
Cena told Edge how much he respected him, and thanked him for everything he did. He said that nobody thought much of either one of them, then they got a chance together, and they made the most of it. They hugged it out, and Cena told him to be safe out there.
It was cool to see Edge and Cena have this moment. Their rivalry made both of them, at least as singles stars.
