Bottom of the Barrel
30 – Curtis Axel – The son of Mr. Perfect is scheduled for a lengthy run in NXT to try to rejuvenate his stagnant WWE career. Great in-ring worker with no character to speak of. The fans have never reacted to him either.
29 – R-Truth – He hasn’t had a relevant place on the card since the Tons of Funk feud in the end of 2013. Fans still say “What’s up!” with him, but he has nothing else going for him with the crowd. At 42 years old, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Truth’s WWE career came to a close this year.
28 – Los Matadores – The bull fighters and El Torito challenged for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a fatal 4-way at Survivor Series, but fell right back off the map after the event. They’ll probably be fed to The Ascension sooner than later and keep their spot in the bottom of the card.
27 – Fandango – Remember this “new and improved” Fandango that WWE hyped? He had a few squash matches and was involved in a very brief, comedic storyline with Chris Jericho over the stolen Slammy. He eventually lost to Roman Reigns, which signals that the Salsa Dancer’s push is over.
26 – Titus O’Neil – With Heath Slater under investigation for a misdemeanor, Slater Gator has just become Gator. O’Neil picked up a win on Main Event on Tuesday, but it’s likely not going to mean anything. The crowd isn’t interested in him and Creative clearly isn’t either.
