Bottom of the Barrel Part II
25 – Erick Rowan – Survivor Series looked to be the rise of Erick Rowan. He was a surprise member of Team Cena for the big elimination match and seemed to be becoming relevant. However, a loss at TLCS to Big Show killed his momentum and made fans not care about him. He’s now heading towards WWE Superstars (the show) territory.
24 – Tyson Kidd – He’s in a newly formed tag team with the next member on this list. Kidd rejuvenated his career in NXT and was constantly involved in their title picture for most of the year. In WWE, that won’t be the case. They haven’t let him talk on the microphone or pick up any type of significant win. While the angle he’s been doing with Natalya is funny, it’s not making him relevant.
23 – Cesaro – Everyone knows that the Swiss Superman deserves better. Vince McMahon doesn’t feel like Cesaro connects with the crowds, however, so he hasn’t been pushed. Cesaro even talked about that in a somewhat-shoot promo on Raw this Monday. It turned into a little bit of a slap in the face, as Cesaro would say that he doesn’t care about connecting with the fans. Could that be a scripted message from McMahon himself?
22 – New Day – Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods all have charisma, but this preacher gimmick is awful. The fans don’t care about them and sooner than later, the ounce of respect that Creative has for them will go away. They would be more relevant as heels but until then, they’re likely going to remain on the back end of the card.
21 – Adam Rose – The Adam Rose character has been a failure. It hasn’t connected with the crowd like it did in NXT and Creative quickly lost interest in him. The main different between him and the stars behind him on this list is that he has a direction. Whether you think this Bunny storyline is ridiculous or not, he’s actually involved in a story that had a beginning and will have an ending when the Bunny is revealed and defeats Rose. It’s inevitable that it will make the former Leo Kruger tumble down this list further, but as of now, he has a spot on the card.
