Stuck in the Middle with You

20 – Jack Swagger – A few weeks ago, Swagger would have had a slightly higher spot on the card because of his program with Rusev. However, with losses piling up (again), he’ll likely drop further down the food chain by February 1.

19 – Luke Harper – Harper had plenty of momentum after joining Team Authority and winning the Intercontinental Championship from Dolph Ziggler. It turned out to be the worst possible thing for the former Wyatt Family member, as he went on a long losing streak with the title and without it. Harper finally picked up a win over Swagger on Raw this past Monday. Unfortunately, when you let a talented star lose frequently, no one will care.

18 – The Ascension – As with every new star, Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension will go on a long winning streak to cement themselves on the WWE roster. They’re going to be a significant part of a weak tag team division and eventually win the Tag Team Championship. As for the gimmick change, it looks weird. Can we eventually get used to it? Yes.

17 – Gold and Stardust – This duo of brothers doesn’t seem like they will stay together. With the teased tension of Gold and Stardust accidentally attacking each other, it seems like they’ll be setting up to face each other at WrestleMania. A year ago, when they had momentum, people would have cared. Now that they’re dropping down the food chain, the Levi’s Stadium crowd will probably turn their heads.

16 – Kane – The only thing keeping Kane going was the presence of The Authority. If they didn’t return on Monday, he would have been towards the bottom of this list. He rarely puts on a decent match and gets no response from the crowds. He’s going to have a semi-main event spot on Raw and SmackDown, though, since he’s the “Director of Operations.” Will it make anyone care? No.
