Titus O’Neil promo

Titus talked about the new Congress beginning, as well as the cold winter settling in, and The Authority being back in power. He said that one person can make a difference. “Not him,” Titus said as he pointed to Jack Swagger. Titus, of course, was talking about himself.

Jack Swagger vs. Titus O’Neil

Swagger and Titus battled it out early, with Swagger finally gaining control and clearing Titus out of the ring.

When Main Event returned from a commercial, Titus was dominating Swagger.

Titus continued his dominance over Swagger, completely working him over, until Swagger finally got things going and got back into the match.

Swagger seemed to have the match won, but the referee called for a rope break when Titus hadn’t actually grabbed the ropes. The match then went outside the ring, and that allowed Titus to reestablish control by driving Swagger back-first into the ring post.

The action returned to the ring, and Titus hit a big boot on Swagger, sending him into the ropes, and back into Titus’ hands for a Clash of the Titus.

O’Neil defeats Swagger via pinfall.

2.75 out of 5 stars – Not a terrible match, but I wasn’t blown away by it. I’m a fan of Swagger, but Titus’ wrestling just doesn’t connect with me.
