Dean Ambrose and the doctor backstage

Ambrose and the doctor had switched roles, and the doctor was laying on the couch crying.

Ambrose got the doctor to sign the papers, then he told him that he was spineless loser.

This started off as the best Ambrose segment of the night, but turned out as the worst. The comedy at the end fell completely flat.

Lana and Rusev promo

Lana said that Rusev was supposed to face Ryback, but he got “canned.” She thanked The Authority for firing Ryback, and John Cena for making it all happen.

She said that Ryback may be able to get a job at a deli, or somewhere else that he talked about in his “stupid story”.

Rusev said that Ryback doesn’t deserve to face him, and that Americans don’t deserve him as their champion. He said that Ryback was fired because of Cena, and he’s still gone because Cena couldn’t win earlier in the night, then Dean Ambrose interrupted.

Ambrose came out and cleared Rusev from the ring.

Rusev vs. Dean Ambrose

When Raw returned from commercial, this match was already underway, and Ambrose was in control.

Ambrose went to the top, but Rusev ran at him. Ambrose avoided him and jumped over him, but he came up lame when he landed on his feet and his knee buckled.

Ambrose countered a big superkick and rolled Rusev up for a really close near-fall.

Despite his undefeated streak nearly coming to an end, Rusev continued on offense, until the referee stopped the match due to Ambrose’s injured knee.

After the referee rang the bell, Ambrose made his case, but the referee wasn’t interested in hearing it. Ambrose then turned right into a superkick.

3 out of 5 stars – Good match. Ambrose did a great job of selling the knee that was injured on SmackDown, after a KO Punch by Big Show.
