John Cena, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H promo
Cena said New Orleans and Bourbon Street are about being loud and having fun, and the mood this week will be different than it was last week.
He said he can’t believe that he works for two people who got their jobs back, not by working hard, but by putting a Hall of Famer in a life or death situation, and expecting Cena to roll the dice.
He said it’s a shame that Triple H, a 13-time world champion, will be remembered most for this part of his career, when he wakes up every day and tries to make the lives of his employees miserable.
He said that Ryback and Erick Rowan certainly didn’t deserve to get fired, but that it’s unbelievable that The Authority, who claim they listen to the WWE University, found cause to fire Dolph Ziggler, as he drew some cheers from the audience.
Cena then told the people in attendance, and watching on TV, to use the hashtag “#AuthoritySucks” on social media, so they could show The Authority their displeasure, just in case they couldn’t hear them.
Cena said that just in case The Authority are deaf, blind, and stupid, which they might be, he has a Plan B. Cena said that his other plan is to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble, then take it home and stay on his couch. Cena said that he would keep the title away from WWE, even WrestleMania, until Ryback, Rowan and Ziggler all got their jobs back. That’s when The Authority had heard enough.
Stephanie started by mocking Cena for his plan. She talked about him taking his proverbial ball and going home, and asking how that would solve anything.
Triple H said that Cena knew what he was getting into when he coerced Ryback, Rowan and Ziggler to join his team at WWE Survivor Series, and they all knew what the stakes were. He said that Cena did something selfish, which is what he always does, and that he didn’t care what would happen to the guys that supported him at Survivor Series.
Triple H, however, said that they had no desire to fire those three men, and they really didn’t want to do it. Cena questioned that, because of how quick they seemed to come to the decision last week. Triple H quipped back that they keep their promises unlike Cena.
Triple H promised to give all three men their jobs back, if Cena could get a win in his match tonight, a Lumberjack Match against Seth Rollins.
This was a good promo. Cena did something that he fails to do sometimes, and he kept the focus where it belongs.
