Top 10 Royal Rumble Matches Of All-Time

#4: Royal Rumble Match 2007
The #4 match on this list is one of my favorites because of the number of firsts, oh and also because it’s an amazing Rumble. Kane broke 2 records by being in his 11th Rumble, 9th consecutive. This was the first rumble to feature a spot where 8 men eliminated one, Viscera. This was CM Punk’s first appearance in a rumble and he did extremely well lasting just over 27 minutes. And it was also the first Rumble where the contestant in the #30 spot ended up victorious. Other stand out performances included Finlay(33 minutes), Edge(44 minutes), and Randy Orton(27 minutes).
Of all the firsts, the one that stands out the most that it was The Undertaker’s first and only Royal Rumble Victory. Of all Taker’s success over the years the Rumble was certainly not his specialty. Before winning in 2007 he had competed in 7 other Rumbles. And although he averaged 4 eliminations in those 7, he only averaged lasting 9 minutes in each. Granted in 2007 he lasted only 13 minutes, but after those 13 minutes he was the last man standing. The closing moments of the match between he and Shawn Michaels was by far some of the most dramatic in the events history and at the same time was a set up for 2 years later when the two would compete in arguably the best Wrestlemania match of all time.
