Adrian Neville vs. Tyson Kidd in a #1 Contender’s Tournament First Round Match

Neville and Kidd felt each other out early, and took turns trying to one-up each other in the early stages of the match.

As we’ve seen these two do before, when the match picked up, it really picked up and they went from showing off their technical sides, to displaying their high-flying abilities.

Neville did get the better of Kidd though, and he sure did take his time when getting back in the ring, until Neville was forced to chase after him, and Kidd took advantage of Neville’s over-aggression.

Kidd really tried to wear Neville down, but Neville did get back into it, and he got the aerial assault going.

The two traded blows, trying to put the other man away, and Neville almost did that for good when he hit a devastating powerbomb, forcing Kidd to land pretty high on his neck, but Kidd was alright.

Neville hit the Red Arrow for the win.

Neville defeats Kidd via pinfall.

3.5 out of 5 stars – Put either one of these guys in the ring, and you’re asking for magic.

Adrian Neville w/ Greg Hamilton

Hamilton climbed in the ring and asked Neville about winning this match, and going on to face either Baron Corbin or Bull Dempsey in the next round.

Neville said he’s getting back up after losing the title, and he’s doing that to prove that he is the greatest NXT Champion in NXT history. He put over the size of Corbin and Dempsey, but said he’s ready for either man.
