Triple H and Roman Reigns promo

Triple H came out to open the show and talk about WWE Royal Rumble.

Triple H joked about the snowstorm that postponed Raw, and said that WWE doesn’t like being told what to do. He said they were told they couldn’t do Raw on Monday, but they did it anyway, albeit from headquarters.

Triple H said that a lot of people thought WWE couldn’t 1 million subscribers for the Network, but they announced it earlier in the week, and that he had two words for all the subscribers, the crowd responded with a loud, “Suck it,” and he laughed and corrected them by saying, “Thank you.”

Triple H mocked the NFL, saying that they are heading into the biggest day of their year, and they are mired in controversy, and they don’t seem to know how to solve it, making a lot of ball jokes along the way. However, when WWE has a controversy, they solve it. Triple H then hyped his face-to-face confrontation with Sting, which is set for WWE Fast Lane.

He said that there was more controversy though, and he planned to address that, with an announcement that would shake the WWE Universe to its core, but Reigns interrupted.

Reigns said that he saw no controversy, and that he won that Royal Rumble, fair and square. Triple H agreed, but wondered if Reigns could win this match, as he returned to the back, and Big Show came out.

Triple H was in absolute top form here, and it was a real joy to see. Reigns’ role was minimized here, which was probably for the best.
