Adrian Neville vs. Baron Corbin in a #1 Contender’s Tournament Semi-Final Match
Neville and Corbin were at a bit of stalemate early on. Corbin’s strength was an advantage, but Neville’s athleticism and appearance allowed him to stay in it. A boot from Corbin put him firmly in control of the match.
Neville did start to gain control, knocking Corbin to the outside, but he went for a dive, and Corbin caught him, shutting down Neville’s comeback.
However, when Corbin threw Neville back in the ring, Bull Dempsey came out and threw him into the ring post.
Corbin got back in the ring, but he was really struggling. Neville hit him with a dropkick, then a Red Arrow.
Neville defeats Corbin via pinfall.
After the match, Corbin vs. Dempsey was announced for February 11th, in a No DQ Match.
3 out of 5 stars – Neville made Corbin look really good. It was a good finish, but I don’t want to see that match at TakeOver.
Sami Zayn backstage
Zayn said the contract signing proves Kevin Owens is a master manipulator.
Zayn said that if Owens truly only wanted the title, which he doesn’t think is true, then he really pulled a fast one on him and William Regal.
Zayn said it doesn’t matter though, and at TakeOver: Rival, he’s going to beat the hell out of Owens.
Zayn is great at conveying emotion. He might be the best I’ve ever seen.
