Lana, Rusev and John Cena promo
Lana said that her and Rusev think that John Cena has had a very impressive career. She said that, just like The Grammys and Oscars do for celebrities, they wanted to pay tribute to his long, storied career.
A video played that showed some of Cena’s great moments, but it started to have some “technical difficulties”, and it turned into a video showing some of Cena’s worst moments.
After the video, Lana said that Cena has done great things, and that he is a strong man, but on the inside he is weak and vulnerable.
Rusev said that Cena is no longer what he used to be. He then flipped out at the crowd for giving him the “What?” treatment, as he said, “You don’t ‘What?’ me, I am a hero.” Which is a great line.
Rusev said that Cena is no longer the man he once was, and he is now weak. Rusev said he will break Cena’s body, and crush his spirit.
Cena said that Rusev and Lana are full of it, and they can talk like Rusev has already won this match, but that it won’t be as easy as they think it will be.
Cena said that he isn’t taking Rusev lightly, and that Rusev is everything he says he is, but that he picked a fight with the wrong “old man”, and at Fastlane, he’s going to whip Rusev’s backside.
Rusev said that Cena talks tough from the stage, but that he doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it. Cena fired back and told Rusev to “jump”.
Rusev “jumped”, and the fight was on. The two men brawled on the ramp and stage, until Rusev poked Cena in his bad eye.
Lana was great at the beginning. She really shined for the first time in a long time.
Rusev and Cena were serviceable in their roles on the mic, but they did a great job during the brawl.
