WWE NXT TakeOver: Rival – Preview and Predictions

Charlotte (c) vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch – NXT Women’s Championship

This match is going to be an epic display of what the NXT Divas can do.

Arguably, this is a match that has been in the works since NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way in September of 2014. Charlotte beat Bayley to retain the NXT Women’s Championship, but Sasha Banks would declare her intentions for the belt in the post-show. Then came Charlotte defeating Banks on multiple occasions to keep the belt again with her ally, Becky Lynch, lurking in the background.

NXT GM William Regal decided to end the controversy by putting all four Divas into a fatal 4-way at Rival for the belt. However, the controversy may continue after the match with the differences that Banks and Lynch are having. They have end up starting a feud following Rival’s end. This, to me, takes them out of the running for the championship.

This leaves the champion, Charlotte, and Bayley. While The Huggable One has developed a mean streak to her character, it doesn’t mean that she has gold in her future. The Nature Girl is still the best in the division and it doesn’t seem like the backstage personnel are ready to take the belt off of her. Charlotte will win and retain the belt.

Prediction #1: Charlotte wins via pinfall to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.

Prediction #2: Becky Lynch turns face and will start a program with Sasha Banks during the next NXT taping.
