John Cena, Stephanie McMahon and Curtis Axel promo

Cena played up that divided reaction he tends to get. He started talking to those who don’t like him, and said they must be having a good time, since he lost to Rusev at WWE Fastlane, and Rusev refused to give him a rematch at WrestleMania.

Cena said that he’s down, but that he’s going to get back up, because that’s what he does. He called Rusev a marked man, and said that he will get his hands on him sooner than later.

Cena said that he has to do something at WrestleMania, and he declared himself for The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but Stephanie then interrupted.

Stephanie came out and reprimanded Cena for belittling battle royal, and the man the match is named after. She called Andre her friend, and told Cena he wouldn’t be in it.

Stephanie said they will find somebody who can beat Rusev at WrestleMania, since Cena couldn’t do it.

Cena talked about all his accomplishments, and said that the day they leave him out of WrestleMania, but he didn’t finish his sentence. Stephanie interrupted and said that Cena doesn’t define the WWE, and it’s quite the opposite. She asked Cena where he would be without the WWE, as Cena looked on stunned.

Axel then came out and talked about how long he’s been in the Royal Rumble Match. Axel asked for the chance to face Rusev at WrestleMania. He said that he’s already in battle royal, but that two wins is better than one.

Stephanie made a match between Cena and Axel. She told Cena that the only way he will face Rusev at WrestleMania, is if he changes Rusev mind.

Cena told Axel he had one chance to leave, because if the match starts, Axel’s not walking out of the ring.

This escalated to being way too serious, way too quickly. Then the addition of Axel was way too silly.
