Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady and Carmella backstage

Enzo and Big Cass were both irate about Blake and Murphy, not only talking smack to them, but also hitting on Carmella.

They did their usual comedy act, but there was a very serious undertone to this. They said they’d become #1 Contender’s and take the NXT Tag Team Championship right from Blake and Murphy.

Alexa Bliss backstage

Bliss was asked about her time off.

Bliss referenced her nose injury against Sasha Banks. She said that she needed to heal physically and mentally, but now she’s back and ready to take the NXT Women’s Championship.

She said that she’ll be watching the title match tonight, and that she’s ready “to show The Boss who’s really in charge.”

Blake and Murphy vs. Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins

Fulton got a little offense on Murphy to start the match, before he took over and handed the match off to Blake.

Blake continued the offense on Fulton, until Fulton was able to make a move and get the hot tag to Dawkins.

Dawkins was in the ring with Murphy, and he got in a solid string of offense. However, Murphy reversed that offense, made the tag to Blake, hit a running suplex on Dawkins, setting Blake up for a match-winning frog splash.

Blake and Murphy defeat Dawkins and Fulton via pinfall.

2.5 out of 5 stars – Decent match. Blake and Murphy were still coming into their own as babyfaces, now they had the sudden heel turn, which definitely slowed them down a little bit. I think they can get there, though.

Chalotte, Bayley and Emma backstage

Bayley was joking around backstage with Charlotte, then wished her luck. Charlotte said she doesn’t need it, but that Sasha Banks will.

As Charlotte walked away, Emma walked in. Emma and Bayley seemed friendly at first, until Bayley asked if she wanted to play with her old bubble machine. Emma said she wasn’t “feeling it,” and it was easy to see that something was off about The Bubbly One.

Bayley mentioned her intention to watch the Banks-Charlotte title match, and that it would be a great match. Emma, however, wasn’t too interested, and sort of mocked Bayley for losing at TakeOver and not being in tonight’s title match.

Emma said she used to be like Bayley, running around on Raw and SmackDown, and it got her sent back to NXT.

This was a very interesting segment. It seemed to indicate a “trade” occurring with Emma going from the main roster to NXT, in exchange for Charlotte.

I’d like to add that I think that heel Emma could be great, especially against a mega-babyface like Bayley.
