The final World Heavyweight Championship match in history will be the first one this countdown, starring Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger.

The billing of the match was the United States against the face of Mexico. Swagger won the Elimination Chamber match a month prior to WrestleMania to become the number one contender to Del Rio’s title.

Along with Swagger’s push, the world was introduced to Zeb Colter, Swagger’s new manager who emphasized a new America — one without “illegal immigrants” as Colter constantly expressed. Not only did Swagger and Colter continue to get inside Del Rio’s head, Swagger broke Del Rio’s ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez‘s ankle prior to their WrestleMania match.

After a 10-minute, back-and-forth thriller, Del Rio forced Swagger to tap to his Cross Armbreaker submission and walked out of New Jersey as champion.
