Dean Ambrose vs. Stardust
R-Truth was still on commentary for this match.
This match also featured a back-and-forth at the beginning, although it was a bit less fluid. The strangeness of these two characters was the story of the match, as they tried to take advantage of each other, and themselves.
Ambrose pulled out Dirty Deeds for the win.
Ambrose defeats Stardust via pinfall.
After the match, Bad News Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Luke Harper and Dolph Ziggler all ran out and brawled over the Intercontinental Championship title belt, but while they did that, Truth walked over and put the belt in a burlap sack.
Stardust hit Ambrose with a Cross Rhodes, Ziggler hit Stardust with a superkick, Ziggler took a clothesline from Harper, Harper took a knee from Bryan, then Barrett finished things off with a Bullhammer to Bryan.
Barrett then went after Truth for the title, but Truth gave it right up. Barrett then escaped through the crowd, while Truth went up the ramp. When Barrett pulled a toy title belt out of the sack he was holding, he was furious to look and see Truth holding the real thing on the stage.
2.75 out of 5 stars – Strange match. It was a bit of fun, but didn’t have the time to connect naturally.
The segment was fun. This storyline should be terrible, but everybody is nailing exactly what they need to do.
