WrestleMania 31: Preview and Predictions
Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton
A match that has been bubbling for months, Randy Orton will be looking to get revenge on his former Authority cohort Seth Rollins on the grand stage of WrestleMania. Back in November, Rollins took Orton out under the orders of the Authority, Curb Stomping him into the steel steps and putting him out of action. The Viper would re-emerge at Fast Lane, taking out any member of the Authority within striking distance. This unstable actions had everybody waiting to witness Orton respond to Rollins’ attack the previous year.
However, fans were left stunned when the pair appeared to bury the hatchet and join the Authority together, with Orton helping Rollins to victories over the likes of Roman Reigns. But, this proved to be a ruse, as in a handicap match, Orton refused to tag in when Rollins asked him to do so, and then beat him across the arena to demonstrate that their allegiance was nothing but an illusion. Now the pair will battle at the PPV in a match that should feature a great deal of personal animosity.
The result is quite difficult to predict, as a great deal of the night’s future events may lay in Rollins and the golden briefcase he carries with him. Also, J&J Security will be stalking ringside to look out for their client, and would relish the opportunity to get some revenge on Orton. In the end, I think Rollins will be able to produce a victory over Orton thanks to the intangibles at ringside and due to having been the standard bearer of the heels for the past year.
Prediction: Seth Rollins
