Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Kane promo

Rollins provided a recap of WrestleMania’s main event, describing how he became WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and the new face of WWE.

Rollins talked about how he has proven himself to be a great champion already, having flown all the way across the country after WrestleMania so he could appear on The Today Show, then flying all the way back for Raw, only to find out that Brock Lesnar wanted his title rematch.

Rollins said that he’s new to being champion, but he feels that the crowd deserves him at his best, so he didn’t want to wrestle while let lagged.

Rollins said that in another scenario, him and Lesnar would’ve had their match tonight on SmackDown, but Lesnar couldn’t control himself and got himself suspended.

Orton interrupted and said that Rollins seems to forget so quickly. Orton said that he remembers being Curb Stomped by Rollins, then returning and playing The Authority until the moment that he turned on them, then went on to almost kill Rollins with an RKO at WrestleMania. He said that with Lesnar suspended, he is right at the top of the list of title contenders.

Rollins said that he doesn’t see any reason to focus on the past, because Rollins is now the champion, and he, and he alone, chooses who will contend for his title.

Orton said that Rollins has never done anything on his own. He mocked Rollins and the rest of The Authority for being spineless, especially picking on Kane. Kane responded by putting Orton in a match with Big Show. Kane said that they will consider Orton for a title shot, if he can beat Show.

Pretty good promo to open the show. I’ve said from the second that Rollins won the title that he should launch into a program with Orton, he’d be the perfect opponent.
