John Cena, Lana and Rusev promo

Cena held up the contract from his United States Championship Match with Rusev at WrestleMania, and said that it would be the most important contract of his career. He said that that was a match he needed to win.

Cena put Rusev over, saying that he is a great fighter, and part of the reason that match was so important was because he knew how tough it would be.

Cena said that it made him sick to see Rusev as the US Champion, not because he’s Russian, but because he took any and every opportunity to knock the United States, even though being in the US was the reason he had the chance to be champion.

Cena said that he will defend the US Title every week, because he wants to be a fighting champion and defend the US Title with pride.

Lana said that Cena’s win at WrestleMania was a travesty. She said that Cena is not a worthy champion, and called him half the man of Rusev.

Lana was speaking, but Rusev took the mic from her and said that he did not lose at WrestleMania, and that he is still America’s champion. He said that this is his domain.

Cena said that Rusev must be drunk, because he is definitely not the US Champion. Rusev stormed down to the ring and said that at Extreme Rules, we’re going to see “this,” and pointed above the ring, trying to make a Russian flag fall, but Cena said that he must’ve meant “this,” as an American flag came down.

Cena pledged to win at Extreme Rules.

Good promo from Cena. Rusev and Lana were okay, but they did great work in furthering their personal storyline.
