J.J. Watt vs. Ndamukong Suh

I’m well aware that these two athletes don’t work for the WWE. But, the company has used celebrities before in their biggest show of the year. J.J. Watt (Houston Texans), who is the best defensive player in the NFL, could play the hero, while Ndamukong Suh, also a defensive beast (formerly with the Detroit Lions but recently signed with the Miami Dolphins), could be the heel, because of his dirty antics on the field.

So why can’t this match happen?

Ronda Rousey was used in WrestleMania 31 this past Sunday, Floyd Mayweather fought the Big Show in WrestleMania XXIV, and in WrestleMania 2, NFL players and WWE performers competed in a battle royal.

The company has used the help of non-wrestlers to perform at the Grandest Stage of Them All, and it would be cool to see the WWE enlist the help of these two behemoths for a match against one another. If need be, the WWE could pair them up with a wrestler for a higher quality match.

Not only would this bring in more wrestling fans, but it would lure in more football fans’ eyeballs. The NFL is by far the most popular sport in America, and maybe the WWE could put on a great show with Watt and Suh, which could bring in more permanent viewers and fans.
