WWE: Who Should Be Released if There Are Budget Cuts?
WWE.com
While WWE and all of pro wrestling all say they do not have an off-season – which is true – in the WWE they do have what you could call their new season once WrestleMania is over. After WrestleMania is the start of new stories, new stars, new champions, and unfortunately for some it means their days as a WWE superstar are over.

With a roster the size as the WWE’s there are always talents who do not get the attention of creative or management. Those talents are usually the ones who are thought of as prime candidates to be on the chopping block. But that isn’t the case all the time.
There have been some names who’ve been cut that had a lot of fans scratching their heads at. Names like Sheldon Benjamin, Chris Masters, Drew McIntyre, Carlito, Mickie James, and Shad Gaspard – all have fallen victim to the WWE roster cuts.
Some may welcome the release as a way to get out and restart their career and go out in the independents to get noticed again. For a lot of these wrestlers the independent scene is a very profitable venture for them. Some of them make a very good name for themselves and find happiness and freedom of working where and when they want.
Over the years there have been some names that seemed to be overlooked in story lines and when the cuts come. JTG was a popular name that always seem to miss the pink slip and many fans and wrestling web sites would make jokes about it – while it did eventually catch up to JTG – there are some who it hasn’t. Maybe they will not be so lucky this time around.
Here are a few names that I have noticed that may be victims of the next round of releases. These are just names I think could be or should be – there is nothing to support it other than my opinion only.
