NXT WrestleMania Axxess Tournament Final
Finn Balor vs. Hideo Itami

This is going to be awesome.

The match begins with a lot of chants and hip tosses, which leads to the two meeting in the center of the ring and staring each other down.

After some slow holds, the action picked up with a kick from Balor to get Itami down. He went for the pin, but Hideo kicked out at 2.

Itami then got his chance by getting Balor down and trying to pin him, but Finn kicked out. This led to the two back in the middle of the ring fighting it out. They eventually collided in the ring, but Hideo was able to get a running knee to get things going back his way. He used a rope DDT (if you want to call it that) to get Balor down for a near pinfall.

The next great exchange was when Itami went for the GTS, but Balor countered and hit the Pele kick. They then got into the middle of the ring and traded punches to get the crowd going. This got Itami riled up and used his sharp kicks on Balor. He then hit a drop-kick, but after Itami looked to set him up, Finn hit a Slingblade.

Balor went to the top rope for Coup de Grace, which Itami was able to prevent from happening. However, Finn would keep things going for a brief time until Itami hit a shotgun kick to get Balor down for the pinfall.

Hideo Itami defeats Finn Balor to win the NXT WrestleMania Axxess Tournament.

3.6 out of 5 stars – Awesome. I just wish Itami got a better chance to look good at the battle royal. Having him getting thrown out like a rag doll by Big Show was disappointing.
