Facing Dean Ambrose

How much fun could this feud be? Ambrose is as close to Rowdy Piper as there is since Brian Pillman with his “Loose Cannon” gimmick.

He and Rusev could and would have some really brutal battles. Another guy who won’t back down from a fight, who will be able to carry the feud on the mic and outside the ring by himself where Rusev isn’t quite as strong as you’d want on the mic. But he’s getting better.

Granted this feud wouldn’t be as good as Rollins vs. Ambrose (but really over the last five-year or more, what was?). However, it could be a fun one to watch.  This would be better than Wyatt vs Ambrose that kind of just went nowhere fast.  They had good matches but there wasn’t more to it.  That would have to be figured out with these two so that doesn’t happen again.

Again, Lana could play a key role in this story.  Ambrose flirting with the Ravishing Russian and her not exactly walking away from the attention after what has been a rocky few weeks with her and Rusev.  These would have to be street fight type matches and back stage brawls.  Putting a trained fighter in Rusev against a brawler who doesn’t care about getting hurt in Ambrose.

Of course, one other way would be for Lana to look to find someone to team with Rusev or for her to look to create a stable of sorts, with Ambrose fitting her needs. Even having Rusev approve, only to have Ambrose shoot it down, as only he can could start the feud.  With the conclusion of this feud, you could insert Reigns in very quickly and make a smooth transition into the next matches for Rusev.
