John Cena Backstage

Cena says he was surprised by Kane, but you can always expect the unexpected.

Then, out of nowhere, Rusev hits Cena with a chain and puts him in the Accolade with the steel weapon.

The odds are certainly being stacked against Mr. HLR for Sunday.

For those who didn’t see on the WWE App, The Miz had his segment on there cutoff so this could happen backstage.

Winner Receives the Right to the Miz Brand
The Miz vs. Damien Mizdow

Mizdow quickly goes after Miz, trying a rollup pin that lasts until 2.

Miz would then try playing a cat and mouse game with Mizdow and try for the pin, but only last until 2.

Mizdow would eventually get some momentum and start hitting some of Miz’s moves.

Eventually, Mizdow would be by the ropes and have his leg pulled by Summer Rae. This would allow Miz to capitalize, hit the Skull-Crushing Finale for the win.

The Miz defeats Damien Mizdow via pinfall.

2.3 out of 5 stars – After the match, Miz would be RKO’d by Randy Orton.

So, with Miz retaining his brand, this leaves Sandow with nothing to do. His standing with WWE seems to be back to where it was last spring. It’s a shame for a guy with a lot of talent and charisma, but what do you do with him?
