Flying Elbow Drop

Oh Yeah Dig it! “The Macho Man” Randy Savage had two moves he did better than anyone from the top rope.  The double axe handle and his flying elbow drop. What really made his stand out was the pointing to the sky before the delivery and the way he flew in the air on the way down.

Compare videos and pictures of others who have done the same move as Savage with the elbow drop. His delivery was much more smooth and it was like a perfect motion of how he set himself up for the landing. Even when CM Punk would deliver the move as a tribute to Macho – it looked awkward in comparison.

“Macho Man’s” legs seemed very a lot like a slinky – they bounced and bent that made the move look special.  Just as Shawn Michael’s does with his super kick – you see another do it and it isn’t the same as the one you think of when hearing about the move or seeing it being done by anyone than the one who made if famous.

Just as great as his promo’s and his robes – his moves and the way he did them were just as unique. Which is why the move cannot be done the same as he did so it shouldn’t be tried.
