TNA Impact Wrestling Review: Taryn Terrell vs. Awesome Kong
By Garin Turner
TNA Knockouts Championship Match
Taryn Terrell (c) vs Awesome Kong
Before the match starts, Terrell insists that this is now a no-DQ match. Josh Matthews questions this, as she loses the champions advantage. The match starts and it’s the same as usual. Taryn tries any offense she can and Kong no sells.
Kong knocks Terrell to the outside of the ring (here we go again) she takes further control but swinging the champ into the guard rail. Kong gets a pair of kendo sticks but only hits Terrell with one of them.
Kong goes for a Awesome Bomb on the steel steps but Taryn reverses it and does a curb stomp on the steps to Kong.
They both get back into the ring and Taryn hits a couple more clotheslines and then a dropkick. She hits a crossbody off the top rope but only gets a two count. A “we want tables” chant starts and Terrell obliges.
Now Terrell has the kendo stick and nails an awkward clothesline to knock Kong down. The Doll House comes down to ringside. Kong gets the upper hand and puts Terrell on the table. Then the Doll House grabs the two kendo sticks, nails Kong and then hits a triple power-bomb through the table with Taryn as she gets the pin.
Taryn Terrell defeats Awesome King via pinfall to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.
After the match Terrell announces that she’s the leader of the Doll House and that it’s their house, The Doll House.
Good solid match, I thought Kong was going to win but nice heel turn from Taryn. I have my personal opinion of her since derailed Drew’s WWE career but she’s earned her spot as champ.
