WWE NXT Review: Alex Riley vs. Sami Zayn, TakeOver Main Event Announced

Rhyno cuts a promo going after Baron Corbin, who called him out earlier. This could be a fun TakeOver match.

Alex Riley vs. Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens is on commentary, which means something’s going to happen.

Owens starts harassing Byron Saxton before the match even begins. I love it.

“Does being locked in a cage mean he can’t shower? I mean look at his hair.” This was in reference to Riley, who he shredded throughout the match. Owens then calls Zayn the shortest-reigning NXT Champion.

While this is going on, Riley and Zayn are battling in the ring with a few holds. The former Analyst hit a neck-breaker for a near-pin.

Zayn would work his way back until Riley took charge with a slam. Zayn would get him out of the ring and hit a nice tope suicida. However, Owens would get off commentary and blindside Sami, causing a disqualification. He then turned to Riley and power bombed him into the ring apron and walked away with a huge smile.

Kevin “Insert word that cannot be said here” Owens, folks.
