WWE SmackDown Review: Roman Reigns vs. Kane

A review of the Payback card by the announcers, where they announce Tamina and Naomi vs The Bellas on the Payback card, as well as The Mega Powers (Axelmania and Macho Mandow) vs The Ascension on the pre-show.

Naomi & Tamina Interview

The heel divas interview with Renee Young, and we get a review of them attacking the Bella Twins 2 weeks ago. Naomi says her and Tamina are tired of being overlooked. She says they’re sick of walking around empty handed. Tamina says they run the Divas division now. Naomi says Brie is a quitter like her pathetic husband. You want heat, you got heat right there.

Tyson Kidd (w/ Cesaro and Natalya) vs Kofi Kingston (w/ New Day)

Result: Kidd def. Kofi (Sharpshooter)

New Day talks on their way to the ring. Woods calls them cheaters. Big E says they don’t recycle, they double dip, they see two movies for one ticket. Big E is actually hilarious when given the ability to say his own stuff. Kofi says you can be like the New Day. Understandably, New Day sucks chants start.

Action starts with Kofi being vicious and kicking Kidd in the ribs. Woods runs to the announce table and tells Tom Phillips that Kofi is the greatest in the world, and to say that on air. Kidd gets Kofi to the outside and hits a senton flip onto Kingston on the outside. Big E gets onto the apron, but is pulled off and clotheslined by Cesaro. Woods tries to do the same as Big E, but is held by Natalya and enziguried by Kidd. Kingston gets a roll up for a two count. Kingston goes for Trouble in Paradise but is caught and locked into a Sharpshooter. Kofi taps and Kidd wins.

They didn’t have much time to work with, but even still this match didn’t have much. All involved are holding back for their clash at Payback, which could steal the spotlight as match of the night.
