WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match
The New Day (c) vs. The Prime Time Players vs. The Ascension vs. The Lucha Dragons vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. Los Matadores

Result: The New Day defeats The Prime Time Players to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Rating: 3.2 out of 5 stars

Bell-to-Bell Time: 24:08

The Ascension and The Lucha Dragons began this match. This is a rematch of the NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way contest from last September.

Sin Cara and Kalisto started off hot and had full control of The Ascension. Kalisto would shortly work his way to the top of the pod. However, New Day grabbed his leg and altered his attempted jump. Konnor and Viktor took out Sin Cara, too.

Sin Cara would climb to the top of the pod and hit a senton. Wow!

Next out would be Cesaro and Kidd. They started out hot and dominated The Ascension. Cesaro would hit a huge uppercut on Kalisto, who was still stuck in the cage. Cesaro would then hit a huge superplex on him and nearly get the pinfall.

Kidd would then get Viktor into the Sharpshooter until Konnor broke it up.

Out next was Los Matadores.

We then see Kalisto climbing to the top of the chamber, hanging on and dropping down on everyone! El Torito would do the same but get caught by The Ascension and Los Matadores would get pinned shortly after.

The Ascension would hit Fall of Man on Kalisto for the next elimination.

Out next would be The Prime Time Players. They would quickly eliminate The Ascension.

PTP would begin battling with Cesaro and Kidd. The Swiss Superman would hit a gut-wrench suplex on Darren Young. However, he was almost pinned by Titus O’Neil.

Out would come all three members of The New Day. They would start attacking but all three got suplexed by the faces.

Cesaro and Kidd would then toss Woods into a pod. However, Cesaro would get rolled up quickly for the elimination. Big E also freed Woods from the pod.

The three New Day members would go to work on O’Neil. They pushed his head through the opening in the chains and beat him down. They focused on Young, who would fight back.

O’Neil would eventually get up and assist Young in taking down New Day. They would nearly get a pinfall from this.

Big E would fight back and the rest of The New Day would join in. They triple-teamed O’Neil and picked up the win.

Rob’s Note: This started off well but fell off by the end. New Day’s win was made obvious when Woods was trapped in the pod.
