Paige Ends Nikki Bella’s Divas Championship Reign

Despite the horrendous booking of the WWE Divas division, Nikki Bella has looked the strongest of them all since SummerSlam 2014. This was when she turned on her sister, Brie until they reunited “outta nowhere” for no reason given the night Nikki won the Divas Championship.

Seven months (201+ days) later, WWE is starting to hype up Nikki title reign since it’s lasted so long. This has made some believe she’ll be booked to break AJ Lee’s reign of 295 days.

However, Nikki will be going against Paige, who is still only 22 and has two Divas Championship reigns already. She hasn’t been completely booked into obscurity like other Divas have, so WWE sees something in her over the rest. Could this mean she wins the title from Nikki?

If Paige wins, this will keep her and the Bellas relevant, leading to a possible rematch at Battleground and maybe another installment at SummerSlam. They did something similar with the British Diva and AJ last summer. If Paige doesn’t win, who WWE plucks from the back to take on Nikki (and probably lose) remains to be seen.
