Ryback vs. Mark Henry

Result: Ryback defeats Mark Henry via pinfall.

Rating: This had more air time on commercial than TV.

Big Show was on commentary for this match.

  • Henry started strong early by throwing Ryback into the barricade.
  • While this was happening, Show was hyping up Henry. What happened to their hate for each other?
  • We come back to see Ryback setting up a meat hook clothesline but miss. Henry would set up the World’s Largest Slam but get hit with the clothesline.
  • Ryback went to the top rope and hit a splash for the win.

After the match we see Show yelling at Henry.

Ryback Interview

Ryback says he’s here to take on all comers in the triple threat match at WWE Battleground. He talks about how his parents hadn’t spoke for 15 years but came back together to watch him fight for the IC Title.

Show came in and said he’ll expose Ryback for being a fraud. They began to brawl with Ryback standing tall over him.

Rob’s Note: Usually the heel ends a backstage brawl segment. Having Ryback go over with ease is strange.
