Ethan Carter III Won The TNA Title, Now Get Him Out Of There

It was nice seeing Ethan Carter III win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but now it’s time to really rectify the career

It’s very rare over the course of the past few years for TNA Wrestling to give us anything that we really are clamoring to see, but that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday night when Ethan Carter III defeated Kurt Angle clean in the middle of the ring. With the win, the man who’s been on a tear through the promotion became the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

That was a fun moment, a great moment and a spectacular accomplishment for a young man that has work hard to get through a lot.

But now it’s time for him to get the hell out of there.

Again, it was a pretty nice achievement, but aside from the fact that we have watched endlessly just how talented this kid really is, when it comes down to it that talent is being wasted in the sinking ship that is TNA Wrestling. Now one could definitely argue that this is a case of a big fish in a little pond, but not with Ethan Carter III. If a return to WWE could happen, he’ll knock it out of the park.

The first stint in WWE didn’t go so well, as the company, as we’ve seen them do so many times with so many others, just couldn’t figure out to do with this gem they had in front of them. It was mind-boggling, because aside from having the chiseled look they usually want, he was entertaining too.

Still, things didn’t work out and he had no shot at moving up the ladder in WWE during that time. However, things are a bit different these days in the land of WWE, and as scary as it is to think about, the former Derrick Bateman is more talented than ever.

The “NXT” that’s there now is a lot different than the “NXT” that he was involved with. Essentially, with NXT being the WWE alternative that it is, plus given his performance in TNA since his arrival, Carter would walk right in there and basically own the place as a heel. With Kevin Owens becoming a full-time member of the WWE main roster, the role of legitimate male heel would be filled perfectly by EC III. From there, it probably wouldn’t be long before he’s messing with babyfaces on the WWE main roster and working his way up the ladder he never got a real shot at climbing during his last stint.

In regards to Ethan Carter III, he should be congratulated for what he accomplished and he should be proud. He should be proud that he’s going to make a nice mark on this business by the time his career is all said and done. But he won’t be making that mark as the member of a ship that hit the iceberg a long time ago — he’ll make that mark in WWE.
