NJPW Announces G1 Climax Tournament Matches

What will the matchups be for this year’s New Japan G1 Climax tournament?

Beginning on July 20, NJPW will host their annual G1 Climax tournament. This will be the 25th show and the longest one of all-time, as the final match will take place from Ryogoku Kokugikan on August 15. This is the same venue where WWE held their Beast in the East special.

For those who don’t know, the G1 Climax tournament places NJPW wrestlers into two blocks—A and B. From there they compete over a certain amount of time (usually one to two weeks).

A points system determines the winner of each block. A wrestler gets two points for a victory, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss.
