Kevin Owens defeated John Cena via pinfall.

This match was former NXT Champion Kevin Owens’ first main roster match and it couldn’t have gone any better. He not only put on arguably the match of the year but defeated the company icon in John Cena.

Many thought Owens should win but no one could tell if it would actually happen. That’s why it came as somewhat of a surprise when Cena was defeated clean.

This match was so good that WWE decided to make this happen again just two weeks later at WWE Money in the Bank.
