SmackDown Review: Ambrose & Reigns vs Sheamus & Big Show
By Evan Gomes
Roman Reigns/Dean Ambrose Backstage
Ambrose says he’s sick of Wyatt and they should keep their eyes peeled for the Eater of Worlds during their match.
Rusev vs Cesaro is announced for tonight. If it’s half as good as their Triple Threat match was on Monday, it’ll be fantastic.
King Barrett vs Jack Swagger
Result: Barrett def. Swagger by pinfall (Bullhammer)
Rating: 2.2 stars out of 5 stars
A Jack Swagger sighting! Is this a 2012 episode of SmackDown? Swagger is in control to start the match. Swagger set up for the Swagger Bomb but Barrett rolled out of the way. King Barrett catches Swagger with a quick Bullhammer for the victory.
R-Truth comes out after the match to cut a promo on Barrett. Barrett says some of the all time greats have won King of the Ring and he includes himself in that. He says Truth is making a mockery of it and it ends Sunday.
The match was nothing special, just a squash. It gets slightly higher marks for letting Swagger be back on TV aside from Main Event. The segment afterwards was nothing special but it did give more background to Truth/Barrett’s kick off match for Battleground.
I miss Zeb Colter.
