WWE Battleground 2015: Preview and Predictions

John Cena (c) vs Kevin Owens
Preview: The rubber match between The Face That Runs the Place and Owens is set to take place at Battleground. Owens won round one, and Cena won round two but ate a powerbomb onto the ring apron for that. Owens says Cena’s time is up and that he is delusional. Cena says he’s a fighting champion and has continually been putting up great matches in the US Title Open Challenge each week, including a pair of tremendous matches against Cesaro.
Prediction: Owens lost his NXT Title to Finn Balor in Tokyo not just because it was Balor’s time. He also lost it so he doesn’t have to carry two titles around. Cena has done tremendous work with the US title, lifting it to heights it’s never been at in WWE. It’s time for Owens to get his first main roster title reign though. This result also opens up the possibility of a Cena-Owens-Cesaro triple threat at Summerslam, which could mess up everyone’s match of the year rankings once again.
