Ric Flair

The Nature Boy has been the popular selection to replace Hogan. He’s a WWE Hall of Famer, well-respected by the wrestling world and hasn’t had a major on-screen role as originally planned. This would finally allow Flair to get a consistent role.

However, there are numerous reasons why this may not be a good idea.

No one knows if Flair has watched Tough Enough. With the time he spends on his podcast, making appearances and watching his daughter Charlotte on WWE TV, he likely hasn’t paid attention. He can’t be sent into this knowing nothing. While he could easily watch all the episodes over the weekend, it still probably wouldn’t be the best idea to do.

In addition to this, fans will bring up Flair’s own drunken tirade from SummerSlam weekend in 2013. This arguably cost legendary commentator Jim Ross his job with WWE but Flair survived. He has made sporadic TV appearances since then.

As of this post, Flair seems to be the front runner to be the new Tough Enough judge. Despite some of his shortcomings, he would be credible at the judge’s desk.
