Season Finale – Goodbye, Hello and Never Say Never

The field:
Tanner vs ZZ and Gigi vs Sara

Highlights:
The episode starts out as a clip show. The cast, judges and coaches (in studio this week) look back at the season’s highlights as well as how the contestants spent their final week training.

Gigi FaceTimes with her dad, initially crying about missing him, but then turning heel and saying she hates Australia and reveals that she had an American accent this entire time. A great swerve!

Tanner practices promos on a blow up doll with Chelsea’s face taped on. He still doesn’t know what to say, but Daniel Bryan is still impressed.

Sara abandons all ring work and teaches herself acoustic guitar so she can cover Taylor Swift songs. She does a “Shake It Off” duet with ZZ.

ZZ puts up pictures of Patrick, Josh, Mada, the bald guy who doesn’t care about WWE history and the one (Hank?) who thinks women are less fit than men. ZZ then gets ready to go to the gym, but ends up taking a nap that lasts 17 hours.

Back at Full Sail University:

Chris Jericho introduces all the past season’s eliminated contestants. Mada and Patrick don’t show. Other contestants give Chris updates on their lives. Daria mentions that she has a show coming up with Pro Wrestling Syndicate in New Jersey. Gabi reveals she is again divorced, but got remarried since the show, but then they divorced on the way to Orlando so she is looking for future ex-husband #5. Josh returned to say he is still training, but has also resumed playing football by joining the arena league. Paige jumps down his throat ‘ask-yelling’ why did he waste his time with Tough Enough. She then adds the obligatory “This is my house!!”

Women’s Results:
Gigi 36%
Sara 64%

Hope, Michigan: you have yourself an NXT Diva!!

Showcasing her ‘girl-next-door’ clumsiness, Sara did all the right things to win over the WWE Universe. She took five weeks to develop a backbone, she apologized for any controversy caused and she jumped on the anti-ZZ bandwagon ever so mildly.

Speaking of ZZ…
