10 WWE Employees That Shouldn’t Be There In 2016

Curtis Axel
The son of Mr. Perfect has been aimlessly drudging around the lower card of the WWE roster since the beginning of 2014, and shows little sign of emulating the repute of his father in the company.
Curtis Axel isn’t a bad wrestler by any stretch of the imagination, but his inability to connect to the crowd has been a sticking point that he has failed to overcome. He captured the Intercontinental Championship in 2013, but did nothing of note with that title, and ever since dropping the belt has been unable to guarantee regular exposure on any WWE programming, not even Main Event and Superstars.
2015 did hold some promise for Axel, as he adopted a gimmick based around the fact he was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble. Axelmania became an entertaining segment, as although he was still losing on a regular basis, at least fans were taking an interest in what he was a part of.
A follow-up alliance with Damien Sandow as a Macho Man wannabe was fine for a comedy tag duo, but was never likely to be taken seriously or have any real staying value. With the controversy surrounding Hulk Hogan’s racist audio tape, Axel was forced to drop his gimmick, and if WWE feel the time is right, it is possible he might never get a new one.
