Zack Ryder

Another release that has been long overdue, Zack Ryder has not been relevant on WWE television since early 2012, when his self-motivated push up the roster was buried under so much garbage that it could never be recovered. From the role of a lovable underdog and goofy wrestling fan that captured the hearts of fans with is Long Island Iced Z YouTube channel, Ryder was thrown under a bus and run over repeatedly by the creative team, and he has never recovered. It is a shame to witness that happen to a superstar with such an undeniable passion for the WWE, but arguably this is the best situation for both parties.

Let’s face it, after his sheer drop from relevancy, there are clearly plenty on people in WWE Creative that see no money or future in Ryder, and likely used his downfall to send a message to other superstars looking to get over without their support.

As for the Broski himself, he could make a significant amount of money outside of WWE telling his story about backstage, as plenty of fans will be interested to hear the reasons behind his push being dropped immediately. Ryder could make a name for himself in Ring of Honor or GFW, so he likely would not find himself out of work or money anytime soon.
