Bret “The Hitman” Hart, had an act of the stealing the show at the biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam.

The Heart Break Kid has always been known as Mr. WrestleMania. At the big dance Michaels encounter’s with the likes of The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon and John Cena have dubbed him the greatest competitor in the history of WrestleMania. However, at the biggest event of Summer, Bret Hart has been dubbed Mr. SummerSlam.

During his run in WWE, Bret Hart built a reputation on having the best and most memorable match at almost every SummerSlam he competed in. The Excellence of Execution had grueling battles with family member’s, a phenom and a man who claimed he was perfect, to name a few.

Beginning in 1990 at the start of his singles run, up until the end of his time in WWE in 1997 Bret Hart’s matches at SummerSlam became must watch. Whether it was for the WWE Championship, the Intercontinental Championship or just for bragging rights Bret Hart seemed to raise his game at SummerSlam.

Just like his rival Shawn Michaels made WrestleMania his event, Bret Hart made SummerSlam his event. As the 28th Incarnation of SummerSlam is just a mere two weeks away it seems appropriate to look back and reflect on the man who is considered the greatest competitor in SummerSlam history, Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
