WWE SmackDown Review: Cesaro & Neville vs Rollins & Owens

Undertaker/Lesnar Video Package

They air the same video package from RAW about Lesnar/Undertaker. I’m not mad about it because WWE has some extremely talented people putting together their video packages. Undertaker and Lesnar are announced to be on RAW this Monday. I can’t wait. You can watch the hype video here.

Neville & Cesaro vs Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins

Result: Rollins def. Cesaro by pinfall (Roll-Up)

Cesaro vs Owens is announced for Summerslam at the start of the match. Rollins and Cesaro start the match and Cesaro wastes no time going right after the champ. Cesaro has Rollins in a delayed vertical suplex and Owens tries to break it up but is taken out by Neville. The faces clear the ring for commercial time.

Back from the commercial and Owens has Neville grounded. Owens keeps beaking at Cesaro while taking out Neville. Clips from during commercial are shown of the heels tossing Neville around like a rag-doll outside the ring. Rollins drops a knee on Neville’s nose and then whips him so hard into the corner that both men fall down. Neville is finally close to a tag, but Rollins knocks Cesaro off the ropes. Owens then hits Neville with a Cannonball, bur the pin is broken up by Cesaro at 2. Owens goes for a big senton splash, but Neville avoids it. He does some flips to the corner to get a hot tag to Cesaro.

Cesaro unloads on the champ with some classic Cesaro uppercuts. He tries to press slam Rollins onto Owens, but Owens gets out of the way. Both heels get taken out on the outside by some flying Europeans; Cesaro with the suicide dive to Rollins and Neville with a flip onto Owens. Cesaro goes to the top rope and hits a cross body onto Rollins for a two. Rollins tosses Cesaro into the turnbuckle with a powerbomb, and Cesaro then manages to counter a Pedigree attempt into a Sharpshooter. He breaks it up to go for a Giant Swing on Owens, but Rollins rolls up Cesaro for the three count.

After the match Owens tries to attack as Rollins escapes to the back. Cesaro slams him and Neville hits the Red Arrow. Neville and Cesaro stand tall to end the show.
