5. Ryback (Last week No. 3)
The Intercontinental Champion returned to the ring for the first time since his reemergence on the scene last week, showing everyone the Big Guy has not lost any of his might. On SmackDown, Ryback addressed his injury hell and took out some pent-up aggression on Bo Dallas. Then on RAW, he went up against one of his challengers at SummerSlam in singles action, defeating the Miz with relative ease.
4. The Prime Time Players (Last week No. 5)
The WWE Tag Team Champions remain full of momentum heading into their SummerSlam title defense. For the umpteenth time The Prime Time Players quashed the New Day on SmackDown, thanks in part to the aid of their other challengers at the upcoming event. Then on RAW, they paired up with the Lucha Dragons to battle New Day and Los Matadores in an eight-man tag, placing them in the driver’s seat before Sunday’s fatal four-way.
3. Sasha Banks (Last week No. 12)
Just when everybody believed that Charlotte was the standout of the NXT call-ups pushing for the Divas Championship, Sasha Banks plants her flag in the ground on RAW, demonstrating why she calls herself the Boss. The NXT Women’s Champion would meet the Divas Champion Nikki Bella on the show, and thanks to some support from Naomi at ringside forced Nikki to tap out to the Bank Statement. Maybe we will see Banks wearing a new belt in the coming months?
2. The Undertaker (Last week NR)
Considering how rare his appearances are these days, WWE makes a great effort to make the Undertaker’s RAW moments special. The Deadman is going to headline SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar, and left the lasting impression on the go-home edition before that show. With Lesnar standing in the ring, taking in the adulation from his home crowd, the Phenom emerged from the darkness to drop his nemesis with a low kick, followed by a Chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver to display once and for all that this is still his yard.
