10 Things That Must Happen at SummerSlam

Ryback remains Intercontinental Champion
The Intercontinental Championship has proven something of a cursed relic in recent months for their respective holder, as Ryback followed Daniel Bryan in suffering an unfortunate injury whilst in possession of the title. However, the Big Guy has recovered in time to defend his belt at SummerSlam in the match that was originally intended for Battleground, with many speculating that he might be walking to the end of his ill-fated reign. Yet, in the face of all the difficulties both with regards to injuries and storytelling, Ryback has maintained huge popularity within the WWE Universe.
Ryback’s reign as the Intercontinental Champion still has plenty of legs to it, with many more superstars to feud with and challenges to devour. Big Show’s role on the roster at this stage of his career is simply to put over younger talent through the benefit of his reputation. As for the Miz, whilst I feel on most occasion he is a worthy mid-card champion, he has been booked so poorly in this three-way rivalry that him winning would be supremely underwhelming in spite of its supposed “shock factor”.
