Dolph Ziggler w/ Lana vs Rusev w/ Summer Rae

Result: Double Count-out

Rating: 2.75 stars out of 5 stars

Lana is out in Dolph Ziggler wear instead of her usual business attire. The match starts with a staredown and Ziggler gets an initial burst with a gorgeous dropkick. After that burst though, Rusev firmly takes control. He continues to wrench on the midsection of Ziggler, and then hits a huge swinging sidewalk slam for a close two count.

Rusev goes for a gorilla press slam but Ziggler counters it into a big DDT. Ziggler gets another burst, hitting a neckbreaker and a jumping clothesline. Rusev hits a spinning heel kick to Ziggler and then goes to the top rope, where he is grabbed by Ziggler for a top rope facebuster. Rusev hits a frontflip senton to Ziggler from a standing position, which was just amazing. Rusev attempts his trademark kick but misses twice, and Dolph jumps onto Rusev with a sleeper hold.

Ziggler hits a Fameasser on Rusev and only gets a two count. Rusev manages to hit his kick and sets up for the Accolade. Rusev locks in the Accolade, and Lana cheers on Ziggler. Summer comes over and tries to slap Lana, who counters and slaps her herself. This distracts Rusev enough to break the Accolade and go to the outside. Rusev yells at Lana and Summer comes from behind and attacks her. Dolph comes out and hits a superkick to Rusev and knocks him down. The ref is at a count of 8 and Ziggler tries to make it in the ring in time, but just misses and it ends in a count-out.

Ziggler and Rusev continue to brawl in the ring and Summer comes in to attack mercilessly. Lana jumps on Summer and they fight it out for a bit, but are broken up by their beaus.

Evan’s Note: This was a well contested match, but the ending really took away from it. It was great to see these two get at each other as it added some more heat to the feud, but I don’t know how this feud will really continue. The match was good, but the ending really was not.
