The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar’s Finish at SummerSlam

After ending the Undertakers streak at last years WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar has been the juggernaut in WWE. Taker looked set to get his revenge after a near 18 month wait.

The great build up to this match was some what marred by the finish to the contest. Taker looked to tap out, the ref missed it. Moments later, he won. Not the best way to end the match, but it’s never that likely to see Lesnar lose clean, and that definitely didn’t happen here.

Lesnar had Taker in the Kimura, the time keeper rang the bell, referee Charles Robinson objected. As Brock celebrated with Paul Heyman, Taker hit a low blow then locked in the Hell’s Gate submission. Despite Lesnar flipping the bird to his foe, in his best Stone Cold style, Taker was declared the winner after Brock seemed to pass out.

Only after the match did we see that Taker had tapped out when locked in the Kimura. Not the best way to end the second-biggest PPV of the year, but a way to have Brock lose and keep the feud going.

Brock got some form of revenge the next night on Raw, the poor recipient being the unlucky Bo Dallas.
