  1. Hell in a Cell

The number three match on our list is the match that defines the character of Mankind, the Hell in a Cell structure.

This match type was probably the most fear gimmick in WWE history, until our number two dethroned it. The Hell in a Cell made a Steel Cage look like a sandbox. It was the match that saw Mankind get thrown off the top of the cell and through the spanish announce table.

Superstars have said that there are no winners and losers in Hell in a Cell, there are just survivors. And those that entered the cell had one goal in mind: be able to leave the cell in one piece.
Like other violent gimmick match types on this list, the Hell in a Cell has become less violent year after year, taking away part of the mystic that the cell structure brought to the squared circle. It can still provide some great entertainment, like we saw with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, in this new age of wrestling.

But like other gimmick matches, the WWE has diluted it by making it its own event every year, taking away the unpredictability of the match taking place. It’s history and the OMG moments it has left behind still puts it at number three on our list.
