Tyle Dillinger vs. Danny Burch

Result: Tye Dillinger defeats Danny Burch via pinfall.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Chain wrestling starts the match with Dillinger getting Burch into a modified abdominal stretch. Dillinger avoids a backdrop from Burch and cartwheels, coming up celebrating and saying “ten!” Burch mocks the taunt after knocking Dillinger down, but Dillinger fights out and gets some offence in. Dillinger takes his kneepad off and hits Burch with essentially a sitting GTS for the win.

Evan’s Note: A really good match for Dillinger even if it was fairly short. Those are the time constraints for NXT television though. Dillinger works his gimmick well and I’m a fan of his finisher. Hopefully a meaningful feud is in his future, either as a face or a heel.

Corbin/Rhyno Interview

The pair are asked if they’re worried about being upset by Gargano and Ciampa tonight. Rhyno says he’s more worried about what the two of them will do to Gargano and Ciampa. Corbin says he doesn’t care where they came from, and that him and Rhyno will win the tournament.

The new Asuka vignette is aired. She looks pretty intimidating, and I really like the mask from the vignette. I hope it’s something that can be worked into her gimmick.
