14) John Cena (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk – WWE Championship Match, WWE Hell in a Cell 2011

This match took place during CM Punk’s peak in WWE when he was the hottest thing going in the company. Alberto Del Rio was also a newcomer gaining momentum and John Cena came into this Hell in a Cell match as the WWE Champion.

Cena had defeated Del Rio at Night of Champions 2011 to become the new WWE Champion. The next night on Raw, Triple H announced the first-ever triple threat bout inside the dangerous structure known as Hell in a Cell. Punk got his rematch in this, too.

This was a solid bout all-around. It featured some great wrestling along with Del Rio getting his second WWE title reign. His first came at SummerSlam, which only lasted for a month. This only lasted about six weeks, though, and he never held the WWE Championship again.

Cena would go onto win 5 more titles from here and Punk would have the longest title run in modern-day WWE. So, it’s safe to say this loss didn’t do much damage to either man.
